The site is a grove of miscellaneous deciduous trees, such as konara oak and Japanese beech. It is a steep slope towards mount Kaikoma mountain range area in the west.
A small box with a slightly curved roof is placed on a floating concrete floor 3.5 ken (~6.37m) wide and 4.5 ken (~8.19m) deep. Supposing you are away from home, you would like to close the entire small box. So, I thought of creating a terrace with a drawbridge like floor that acts like a shutter that can be fully opened only when people are present. It improves crime prevention and is very effective at helping maintain the appearance, as it protects the terrace wood deck from being exposed to rain. With that, there is an excited feeling every time, as if opening up the cabin that was closed for winter. As a result of deciding to build the wooden box along the site slope facing west, with the difference in elevation between the terrace surface and the ground being 4.5m, it became a place floating in the air among the leaves of the trees.
