This is the first work designed jointly by myself and the HOZUMI Nobuo Laboratory at Waseda University. Both the large steel roof that curves upward in accordance with the surrounding mountain range, and the exhibition framework of wooden lattice meandering through the building are designed with the subject of a riot in the village in mind. There is an intention to fuse the design of the architecture and the exhibition. For that purpose, Kazuko FUJIE, the furniture designer, joined the exhibition plan from an early stage.
